Stoke City's Adam scores 65-yard goal

London, April 5 (IANS): Stoke City veteran Charlie Adam scored one of the greatest goals in Premier League history in his team's 1-2 loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

With City 0-1 down in the 44th minute, Adam scored the wonder goal from 65 yards out, just over back-pedalling Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois, who had strayed off his line on Saturday, reports Xinhua.

Adam's missile wasn't enough against Chelsea, who snatched the winner through Loic Remy in the 62nd minute.
