Beltangady, Mar 1: In yet another case, a hotel employee from Dharmasthala near here ended life by hanging himself from a tree on Wednesday February 28.

The deceased is said to be B K Ramesh (30), hailing from Tyagattur in Somavarpet taluk of Kodagu district.  He was a cleaner in Hotel Shivprasad owned by Guruprasad Rao at Dharmasthala.  This is the third instance within a month in which a hotel employee committed suicide. Earlier Hanumantha of Bangalore who was working as cleaner in Vijaya Canteen at Dharmasthala had tried to end his life by stabbing himself on January 29.  He was later admitted to hospital and was rescued.  Prashanth Patil of Maharastra who too was working in Vijaya Canteen had however stabbed himself to death on February 4.

Now Ramesh has ended his life by hanging himself.  He had joined the said restaurant as cleaner 6 months ago but had quit the job after a couple of months.  It was only 10-12 days ago that he had re-joined the same restaurant.

On Tuesday February 27 night he had gone to sleep along with other employees of the hotel.  However, he was not found in his place on Wednesday morning.  He was later found hanging by a tree near parking place of Mahotsava Auditorium.

The Beltangady police have registered a case in this regard.
