Karkala, Mar 1: Arunodaya Special School which has been a ray of hope for many differently-abled children celebrated its 7th annual day recently.

It was a well-arranged programme which was attended by hundreds of people from the locality.  The new block of the school was inaugurated on the occasion by Fr Anthony Lasrado, parish priest of St Victor's Church Nellikar.

Fr Anthony Lasrado also presided over the annual day celebrations.  B R Ashok, manager, Central Bank of India, Karkala branch and Avelin Lewis, secretary of Christ King Education Trust, Karkala were the chief guests on the occasion.

The children of Arunodaya Special School guided by founder Sr Donalda Pais and teachers presented variety entertainment programme that kept the audience glued to the chair to the end.
