Sullia / Mangalore, Mar 2: Yamuna Narayana Rai (81), wife of ex-Serviceman and teacher, the late Shintoor Narayana Rai, passed away at her son Sitaram Rai's residence at Savanoor near Puttur on February 28, following a brief illness.
She is survived by sons, retire police circle inspector Ramananda Rai, founder-chairman of Vidyarashmi educational institutions in Savanoor Sitaram Rai, Sullia APMC president and advocate N Jayaprakash Rai, and Sudhakar Rai, daughters Sharada Shetty (wife of entrepreneur A J Shetty) and Shakuntala Chowta.
Her second son entrepreneur K Balakrishna Rai (Chokkady) had passed away a few years ago.
