Mangalore, Mar 9: A Chinese sailor working for a oil-transporting ship of Saudi Arabia was admitted to Athena Hospital here after sustaining serious injuries while on work on Wednesday March 7.

Yang Rulian, a sailor in "Heavy Ambition" oil of Saudi Arabia sustained serious injuries in his belly while undertaking repair work at Lakshadweep.  Immediately, the captain of the ship contacted Narendra Kumar of Sea Star Shipping Agency.  The latter in turn informed the Coast Guard about the tragedy.

With no delay Coast Guard helicopter was sent to Lakshadweep and Yang Rulian was brought to city and was admitted to Athena Hospital.  He was later successfully operated under the guidance of anesthesian Dr Jeetesh, surgeon Dr Yogish Kumar and Dr Prajith.  Rulian is said to be recovering now.
