Kundapur, Mar 19: Even the arrest of comrade Chennamma a few days ago by police does not seem to have affected the Naxalites in the area.

Reports have confirmed that they are still visiting the villages in the area and are trying to build rapport with the people. They were spotted in Basavanapalu and Beeranbailu areas during the weekend.

Though they were traced near the Belkalteertha area some three days, they had disappeared immediately from the spot after the ANF started combing operations.  While ANF continued combing operations in the area, Naxalties said to have visited Basavanapalu and Beeranbailu villages which have been neglected by administration in many ways.

Naxalites discussed with the people about not utilizing the fund released under Naxal package and asked the people to support them in their efforts to establish social justice.  This means that despite continuous efforts by police, Naxalites still manage to go on with their activities defying all theories that their strength has been decreased or that the locals are not in favour of them.
