Mangalore, Mar 19: In another tragedy at Panambur an engineer from Mysore drowned on Sunday March 18 evening.

The deceased has been identified as Mahadevayya (47), a native of Mysore.  He was working as chief engineer in irrigation department in Jevargi.  An operated wound was found on his body near the chest which indicated that he might have come to the city for medical treatment.  However, details are yet to be known.

He was seen walking by the breakwaters near Panambur beach on Sunday evening.  But within a few minutes he fell in the sea and drowned.  It is not yet sure whether he accidentally fell in the sea or he committed suicide. His body was later fished out from the sea.  There was no one with him and a few thousands of rupees were found in his pocket at the time of his death.

Panambur police have registered a case in this regard.
