Mangalore, Mar 26: A new grotto dedicated to Our Lady of Fathima was blessed and inaugurated at SVD House, Kirem, near here on Sunday March 25.
Fr Jose Vazhail, SVD Provincial of Mangalore-Mumbai Province blessed the grotto while Fr Walter conducted the prayer.
Walter Pinto, architect and sculpture of the grotto was honoured on the occasion.
Among those present were Fr Patrick Rodrigues, vicar var of Kinnigoli deanery, Fr Valerian Mendonca, principal, Pompeii College, Aikala, Fr Charles Noronha, parish priest of Kirem Church, Fr Jerome D’Souza, parish priest of Mundkur Church and devotees of Our Lady of Fathima.
Fr Francis Fernandes, rector of SVD welcomed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks.
