Udupi, Mar 26: Zilla Panchayat chief executive officer has ordered under- secretary to initiate probe into the alleged mental harassment to a young woman by government officials here recently.

Earlier, Mohini, an employee in Corporation of Devraj Arasu Backward Classes and Karnataka Minority division at Brahmagiri had lodged complaint that she had been continuously harassed manager of the department H Jagannath Shetty.  She had complained that she was scolded and insulted in front of other employees by Jagannath Shetty.

After registering a case under Sections 504 and 354, town police had arrested Jagannath on the day of Ugadi feast.  He was later released on bail.  Following this, ZP CEO Hemlatha has ordered under-secretary D Pranesh Rao to initiate enquiry and probe the entire matter.
