Mangalore Mar 27: Three-day Krishi mela will be held inaugurated at Bantwal on Wednesday April 4 at the late Ratnavarma Heggade Nagar near B C Road.

This was announced in a press conference by Yerya Lakshminarayana Alva, president of reception committee in a press conference here on Monday March 26.  The krishi mela would be held under the aegis of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP).

A number of sessions on "Soil-Water Conservation and Irrigation-free Agriculture", "Woman on the Path of Transformation", "Micro Finance Management in SHGs", "Mechanization of Agriculture and Cost-effective Agriculture Technology", "Organic Farming and Profitable Dairying,"  "Significance of Mixed Farming" etc would conducted during the krishi mela.

Krishi Mela will be inaugurated by Shri Balagangadaranath Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Math Bangalore.  Programme will presided over by Dr D Veerendra Heggade, dharmadhikari of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala.  District-in-charge minister B Nagaraj Shetty will inaugurate exhibition.

The valedictory of Krishi mela will be held on Friday April 6 evening.  Chief minister H D Kumaraswamy will deliver the valedictory address.

Organizing committee representatives K K Poonja, Purushotham, Bondala  Jagannath Shetty were also present at the press conference.
