Mangalore, Apr 10: Two persons sustained critical injuries in a serial accident at Gurpur near here on Tuesday April 10 morning.

A tipper carrying boulders towards the city rammed into another tipper before crashing against 3 cars resulting in mayhem.  The tipper first rammed into another tipper owing to reckless driving.

At this juncture the driver of the first tipper lost control over the vehicle and rammed into an Indica car which was on its way to Gurpur.  The tipper was running at such a high speed that it did not stop even after crashing against two vehicles. 

Before it could be brought under control, it rammed into a Maruti 800 car.  This was such a crushing blow that the car was completely damaged and two persons travelling in it sustained critical injuries.  The injured have been admitted to hospital in the city.

After crushing the Maruti 800 completely, the tipper that ran riot turned turtle.  However, the damage was not over yet as the boulders on the tipper fell on another Indigo car which was coming from opposite direction.

The accident was shock for the locals early in the morning with 5 vehicles being damaged and two persons sustaining critical injuries.  The road leading to the city was blocked for sometime before the Bajpe police arrived on the spot and cleared it with the help of the locals.

Bajpe police have registered a case in this regard.
