Mangalore, Apr 13: B N Moidin Bawa has been elected as the president of the minority wing of District Congress Committee 9 (DCC). He will take in charge on Friday April 15.
Addressing press persons here on Wednesday April 11, Moidin Bawa said that the oath-taking ceremony will be held at Hotel Woodland here at 2:30 pm. District congress president Blasius D’Souza will preside over the programme. M Veerappa Moily will administer the oath to Bawa on the occasion.
He further said that Dr Manmohan Singh has worked hard for the upgradation of the minorities. He released a 15-point programme in this regard which have been translated in to Kannada by KPCC president Mallikarjuna Kharge.
Rajya Sabha member B Janardhan Poojari, union minister Muniyappa and others will also be present on this occasion.
