Mangalore, Apr 14: The first match of the inter-parish cricket torunament in memory of Fl Lt Ronald Kevin Serrao will be held on Sunday April 15 at Cordel Church grounds.

Mayor Vijaya Arun will inaugurate the tournament at 8.30 am. Ronald Kevin Serrao's mother Jessica Serrao will be the chief guest.

As many as 24 teams from different parishes from the Mangalore Diocese will partcipate in the under-arm tournament.

The match will consist of 10 overs. The winning team will receive a cash award of Rs 5555 and a trophy while the runner up will get Rs 3333 along with a trophy.

It may be recalled that Fl Lt Ronald Kevin Serrao had died in a plane crash in January this year at Rajasthan. The tournament has been organized by the parishoners of Cordel.

The proceeds of the tournament will go to the Diocesan Medical Fund and for the setting up of Parish Education Fund.

The other two matches of the tournament will be held on Sunday April 22 and Sunday April 29.
