Mangalore, May 4: Common Entrance Test (CET) for post-graduation courses for the academic year 2007-08 will be held in the third week of June.

According to a press release the government will conduct CET for eleven subjects namely Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, Microbiology, History, Economics, Political Science, Social Work (MSW) Commerce (MCom) and Education (MEd).

Students of final-year and undergraduate courses in colleges under Mangalore University are eligible to appear for the test, provided they obtain minimum percentage of marks prescribed for each subject under CET rules.

Application forms can be obtained form any university in the state and the test will be conducted at the respective universities on payment of a fee.

After the announcement of the CET and the announcement of undergraduate results the distribution of the seats will be done by the Mysore University. Out of the total seats 90 per cent of the seats will be given to students of the state and the remaining will be distributed to the students of universities from outside, the release stated.
