Mangalore / Bangalore, May 5: Police sources here have informed that the transfer orders of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi superintendents of police, Bannikal Dayananda and Dr A Subrahmanyeshwar Rao respectively have been withdrawn. Accordingly they have been asked to continue in the present postings.
It was reported in these columns that the DK SP had been transferred to Udupi. Now it is reliably learnt that SP Dayananda is due for a promotion in a few months and the transfer could be effected only then as a promotion transfer.
Udupi sub-division ASP N Satish Kumar has been promoted to senior ASP grade.
Other transfers
SP of KGF B Shivakumar has been transferred to Chitradurga. Chitradurga SP K L Sudhir has been promoted to DIGP grade and transferred to CAR headquarters in Bangalore. The order transferring the Lokayukta SP has been withdrawn.
Forests dept
Rajkumar Shrivastava IFS has been appointed deputy conservator of forests at Kundapur. N Rajashekhar IFS, until now DCF at Kundapur, has been transferred.
