Mangalore, May 5:  Three persons, running a computer institute in the city were arrested by Kadri police under charges of cheating customers.  The police initiated action after receiving a complaint from one Prasad Rao from Mannagudda who had been cheated by the trio.

The arrested have been identified as Laalin alias Sagayaraj Chettiyar, Sajjid Ahmad and Abid.  Though nothing much is known about their origin, it is told that they hailed from Bangalore.

They were running Magnum Computers in Sanu Palace at PVS Circle here.  They used to promise their customers of offering a free package tour along with the computer course.  But they did not offer any such facilities to their customers.

Attracted by their promise Rao had paid a processing fee of Rs 29,700 to the accused. The accused after receiving the money committed criminal breach of trust by not offering the free package tour and did not return his money, Rao said.
