Mangalore, May 7: Bondel parish priest Fr Antony Serrao celebrated 25 years of priesthood at a programme held at Bondel Church hall here on Sunday May 6.
Fr Lawrence D'Souza, vicar of Varado and Cordel Church parish priest was the chief guest on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, he lauded the service rendered by Fr Serrao as an assistant priest at Shirva, joint secretary of Catholic Board of Education and parish priest of Modankap, Vittal and Udupi parishes.
The celebration began with Eucharistic Mass in which St Joseph's seminary, Jeppu rector Fr Victor Machado delivered the sermon.
Parish council vice-president Lancy D'Cunha compered the programme.
The celebration was witnessed by 18 priests, relatives of Fr Antony Serrao and parishoners.
