Kundapur, May 7: The prestigious "Mother Teresa Excellence Award" given by International Integrity, Peace and Friendship Society was recently conferred on Fr Anthony Lobo, parish priest of Rosary Church here and also the dean of Kundapur deanery for his selfless social service.

The award was conferred by union minister M V Rajashekharan at gala function held at Bangalore recently.  In his speech the minister said that Fr Anthony Lobo is a multi-faceted personality who has served the society in various ways while leading the spiritual revival of people being a priest.

Kundapur: International Integrity peace and friendship society Bangalore has awarded the prestigious “Mother Teresa excellence award” to Rev. Father Anthony Lobo the priest of Holy Rosary Church Kundapur for his selfless social service.

Fr Anthony Lobo is not only a renowned preacher but has also been a good motivator and leader of people, especially the youth.  While he was the parish priest of Loreto Church near Bantwal he had initiated a free medical unit for the service of poor patients of Bantwal.

He has also been instrumental in opening several schools to impart quality education.  He is also the member of Lions Club through which he has been reaching out various sections of the society.  At present he is also the joint secretary of Catholic Board of Education.
