Udupi, May 8: The solo painting exhibition by artist Santosh Kumar Vannikeri was inaugurated by said P N Acharya, member of the Lalithkala Academy at Vibhuti Art Gallery here on Monday May 7.
Speaking on the occasion, Acharya stressed on the need to recognize talents at young age and called for the introduction of campus interviews by art schools in order to encourage youth to take up careers in the field of art.
Senior artist K L Bhat, correspondent of Chitrakala Mandir School of Art U C Niranjan, professor at Manipal Institute of Communication K P Rao and artist A S Patil were also present at this occasion.
