Mangalore, May 11: A foreign national, Tony Wilson (28), claiming to be a citizen of the Republic of West Africa, was arrested from a lodging house in Azizuddin Street in the city.

The Pandeshwar police were on a routine check of foreign nationals staying lodges on May 8.

Upon enquiry, Tony is said to have failed to produce any valid documents like passport and visa. He is said to have told the police that he had lost his passport containing valid visa.

He was arrested and produced in court, which remanded his to judicial custody for 15 days.
