Mangalore, May 11: Police have been biased in the investigations regarding the pulling of dhoti case, said Harikrishna Punaroor, former president of state Kannada Sahitya Parishad.

He was speaking at a press conference held at the press club here on Friday May 11. ‘In January 2004, while attending a programme at Bangalore, some miscreants had pulled my dhoti. But the court declared the accused as innocent. Owing to the biased investigation by the police, the court has given this judgment,’ he accused.

Many video persons and photographers were present when the incident had occurred. All the names of those who were present there were given. But the police have not carried impartial investigation, Punaroor said.

‘No summons has been sent me to attend the court proceedings. But the case has been closed saying that I was absent in the court when the enquiry took place. But I will not stop here. Fight for justice will not be stopped come what may,’ he said.
