Mangalore, May 12: A prophet who is a special messenger of God has to live a life that inspires others.  He should fight for human rights and uphold humane values, said Prof Shivram Shetty, professor of Kannada department of Varsity.

He was speaking on the topic ‘Know Your Prophet’ organized by New-Age of India Forum at Rosario Church Hall recently.

 NAIF president Rafeeuddin Kudroli presided over the programme while Fr John Fernandes of Chair in Christianity of Mangalore Varsity was the chief guest

Speaking on the occasion he said that Christians, Muslims and Jews have prophets as the pillars of their religion and they are the mediators between God and devotees.

“They brought God’s Word to the world and spread His message of love and peace to all.  Now it is up to us to continue this mission and fill this world with love and joy,” he added.

NAIF education division convener Haneef Natekal spoke on the occasion.  Parvez  Kirat was also present on the occasion.
