Members of farmers' organisations, BJP and JD(S) leaders staged a flash dharna when a group of officials and the elected representatives tried to depict Siddashetty’s death as suicide due to family disputes.

The protesters relented after Deputy Commissioner Kunjappa said that compensation would be distributed to the kin of Siddashetty after the assistant commissioner holds an enquiry to ascertain whether the deceased was farmer.

It is an unbelievable from the national crime records bureau report i quote:

"According to the National Crime Records Bureau, causes of (farmer) suicides include family problems, illness, drugs...dowry, love affairs and impotency,"

God save our Children from this kinds of reports and from this kind of fundamental governments.
