Mumbai, Jun 28: The muhurtam of Konkani comedy play ‘Portean Eik Pavtim’ was held at Casa Blanca’s Sangeeta Abhinaya Academy, Andheri (E) here recently.
Noted playwright Francis Fernandes Cascia was present as the chief guest while well-known musician and comedian Harryboy launched the play.
Academy director Fr Charles Vas presided over the programme.
The play is being presented by Kalakiran, Mumbai. The play has been translated from Marathi and directed by Lawrence D’Souza Kamani.
Editor of Divo Konkani weekly Lawrence Coelho, businessman and actor John Sequeira, and Kalakiran Mumbai president Ozzie Cordera were guests of honour.
Francis Olivera compered the programme while Lawrence D’Souza Kamani proposed the vote of thanks.
Actors Flora D’Souza, Daisy Dais, Rony Byndoor, Valerian D’Souza, Victor Pereira and others were present.
