Mumbai, Sep 9: Kannadiga Patrakarthara Sangha, Maharastra held a meeting at Billavara Bhavana Akshaya office, Santacruz east on Saturday, September 5, to elect their office bearers for the period 2015-2018.

Chandrashekar Palethady and Rons Bantwal, president and honorary chief secretary respectively for the period 2012-2015 were re-elected president and honorary chief secretary unanimously for the period
2015-2018. They were instrumental for the establishment of the sangha and have served in their respective positions since its inception.

The following office bearers were also elected on the occasion. Daya Sagar Chowta, news editor, Reliance All world Kannada news, vice president; Harish K Hejmadi, assistant editor, Akshaya weekly, honorary secretary; Premnath B Shetty Mundkooru, editor of Bantaravani monthly, honorary treasurer; Babu K Belchada, assistant editor, Thiya Jyothi, joint secretary; Ashok S Suvarna, editor of Mogaveera monthly,
joint treasurer.

Sham M Hande, Vishwanath V Poojary Niddodi and Gurudatt S Poonja Mundkooru from Karnataka Malla, Dr Dinesh Shetty Renjala from Udayavani daily, Suzanna Lawrence Coelho of Divo Konkani weekly, Janardhan S Puriya from Parivarthana Suddi, Jaya C Poojary from press club, Mumbai and Patrakarthara Bhavana Samithi executive president Shiva M Moodigere were elected as working committee members.

CA I R Shetty, advocate Kadandale Parari Prakash L Shetty, Dr Suresh S Rao Kateel, Dr R K Shetty, Dr Mohiddin Mundkooru, Gregory D' Almeida, Dr Sunitha M Shetty, Surendra A Poojary, Advocate Rohini J Salian were elected advisory committee members. Advocate Vasanth S Kalakoti, CA Ullooruguthu Shanker M Shetty, Suresh Shetty Yeyyadi, Sridhar Uchil, Navinchandra R Sanil and Sudhakar Uchil were elected as special invited members.

Honorary chief secretary Rons Bantwal conducted the elections. Honorary secretary Harish K Hejmadi welcomed the gathering. Premnath B Shetty Mundkooru proposed the vote of thanks.
