Mumbai: Kendra Sahitya Academy holds 'Ranga Samvada'

Mumbai, Sep 9: Kendra Sahitya Academy and department of Kannada in Mumbai University held a discussion programme on theater at WRIC Auditorium of the Mumbai University at Kalina Vidyanagari, Santacruz east on Saturday, September 5.

























In the programme presided by famous Kannada researcher author Dr G V Kulkarni in the presence of head of the department of Kannada in Mumbai University professor G N Upadhya, well known theater artistes
Dr Bharath Kumar Polipu, Mohan Marnad, Ahalya Ballal and others expressed their opinions.

Meanwhile well known scholar and researcher late Dr M M Kalburgi was offered homage on the occasion. Department guest lecturer Dr G V Kulkarni spoke a few words about late Kalburgi.

Students who have obtained admission in various Kannada courses were welcomed and wished well on the occasion.

Sushila S Devadiga and Madhusoodan Rao sang poetry. Comedian Shamala Prakash introduced the interlocutors. Kannada department professor Dr Poornima S Shetty welcomed the gathering, conducted the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
