by Rons Bantwal - Daijiworld Media Network - Mumbai

Mumbai, Jul 3: Sri Vidhyaprasanna Theertha Swami of Kukke Subramanya Math has arrived at Mumbai, at the request of innumerable devotees, while he has been camping at their branch Math located in Chedda Nagar, Chembur at suburban Mumbai where he has performed special poojas.

The large number of devotees were thronging the branch Math to pay obeisance to Swamiji, since he could not attend the public meeting due to incessant rains in Mumbai.

“It was opportune to visit Mumbai, heeding to the wish of innumerable devotees.  However, it has not been possible to organize any programme due to heavy rains.  Moreover, nothing has hampered the Mumbaikar devotees, to visit him and be graced by his blessings” said Vidhyaprasanna Theertha Swamiji speaking exclusively to daijiworld.com in Mumbai

Let the populace in Mumbai and other cities across the country be relieved of losses due to natures fury, that has been the prayers of Swamiji.

“Indian culture has been distinct in the world.  However, it’s unfortunate, that the people living in urban and rural areas including Mumbai are attracted to western culture.  The impact of western culture has been taking our sacred

culture towards the oblivion.  The older generation is worried over the degeneration of Indian culture.  This calls for the guidance from enlightened leaders, and the need for delivering powerful messages.  We have been making our strides in this regard.  I pray for the well being of all people.  We have plans to transform Mumbai branch Math into pilgrimage centre thereby gain national recognition.  We have been attempting to engage in social service through Math besides developing it culturally and with religious guidance.  However, it has not been possible to transform the Math, due to various reasons” said Swamiji.

Chaturmasya rites will be held from Aug 4 to Sep 26 at Bangalore, said Swamiji.
