Mumbai, Sep 12: Vasai Road – Mangaluru Ganapathi festival special train with train number 00115 has begun obeying the orders of Railway Yatri Sangha, Borivali, Mumbai and Railway Yatri Sangha, Udupi and efforts by Borivli MP Gopala C Shetty for the convenience of pilgrims and was set in motion at Vasai Road junction railway station at 1.45 pm on September 11. The train will run from Vasai road junction railway station via Konkan route.






Railway Yatri Sangha Borivali Mumbai honorary founder president Virar Shanker B Shetty and president Shimanthooru waved the green flag to set the special train in motion. At a gathering led by advisor to the Sangha, Ermal Harish Shetty at the office of MP Gopala Shetty prior to the flagging off of the train, the MP was honoured for his efforts with a flower bouquet. The office bearers of Yatri Sangha later held discussions on their future projects.

Vasai road junction railway station master Rajesh Mhatre, Railway Yatri Sangha vice president Premanath Kotian, executive secretary Oliver D'Souza, joint secretary Rajith Suvarna, K B Poojary, Devendra
Bunnan, Yashodhar V Kotian, Ashok Shetty Vasai, Narayan Kukyan, Subhash Poojary, Mohan K Putran, K P Poojary and others were present.

Train number 00115 will leave Vasai road junction railway station on September 11, 16 and 26 via Konkan railways route via Panvel, Rathnagiri, Goa Madgaon, Karwar, Kumta, Bhatkal and reach Udupi at 8.43 am and Mangaluru at 11 am via Surathkal. Similarly train number 00116 will leave Mangaluru on Sep 12, 17 and 27 at 6 pm to Vasai road junction.
