Mumbai: 'Sonadonji Dina' special programme held in Kalina

Mumbai, Sep 14: Kannada department of Mumbai University, Karnataka Janapada Parishat Maharastra unit and Mulund Friends jointly held 'Sonadonji Dina', a day in the month of Shravana at WRIC auditorium of Mumbai university in Kalina Campus, Santacruz east on Saturday, Sep 12.



















Karnataka Janapada Parishat Maharastra unit and Mulund Friends president Suresh Shetty Yeyyadi in his key note address said that programmes such as this are necessary in Tulunadu culture where agriculture is the main occupation. “Though festivals are getting washed away in the storm of globalization, we should not forget our celebrations. Let the feasts do not lose their way in the gaiety”, he said.

Author Dr Sunitha M Shetty, Shafi welfare association Mumbai president advocate B Moidin Mundkooru, Bunts sangha Mumbai women's wing executive president Latha Jayaram Shetty, retired lecturer Dr Vani Uchilkar, Stree Shakthi Kendra Kalyan executive president Chitra RS hetty, author Petri Vishwanath Shetty, Bunts Sangha Mumbai VasaiDahanu regional committee secretary Previn Shetty Kananjaru, Journalist Dayasagar Chouta and Nesaru monthly magazine editor Dr Jyothi Sathish participated in the discussions.

Dayanand Kathalsar, Padmanabha Sasihitlu and team conducted Janapada Sambhrama programme. Kannada department lectuter Dr Poornima S Shetty welcomed, introduced the guests and compered the programme. Mulund Friend's Sunder Shetty Vamadapadavu, Surendra Shetty Surathkal, Venugopal Shetty Ira and Subhash Alva honoured the guests by presenting flower bouquets. Yuvaraj Shetty proposed Vote of thanks.
