Mumbai, Oct 6: Ranveer Singh who started his film career with Band Bajaa Baraat which was a Yash Raj movie, has had his second wish come true with Aditya Chopra, himself informing Ranveer about being signed on as the male lead for his directorial venture Befikre.

The 'Gunday' actor who has been in the industry for the past five years and has close to 9 films to his name, uploaded a video in which he described his whole experience ending with how it felt to be once again in the same office and being told about Befikre. In the video, Ranveer is seen walking through the hallowed halls of the fourth floor of YRF studios, saying, "I gave the auditions which was for this lead boy of a YRF film and after many auditions, I was called into this office (pointing at Adi's cabin in YRF in the video) where Adi sir sits. He sat me across the couch and gave me the news that I was selected. I sat there, nodding and sincerely listening to what he was saying. I stepped out of his room and I was walking through this corridor and here it dawned on me. The news was so overwhelming that I went down on my knees and realised what had just happened. Adi sir emerged from there and he saw me crying. He put his hands on my shoulder and said tu kar lega."

The actor went on to say "It has always been my dream to be in a film directed by my mentor Adi sir. I go to the same office, sits me down on the same couch and tells me, 'Ranveer, I am casting you in my next movie'. Same thing happens, I show no emotions and I walked out of his office, walking through the same corridoor and again in the corridoor I realised what just happened. I started crying again and again he emerges from there and he puts his arms across my shoulders and says, 'Tu kar lega'. This is something very close to my heart."

Ranveer ends his video with, “So this is something that is a really big deal for me... close to my heart. Adi sir is such a good filmmaker. He could have had whosoever he wanted to be in his movie, but he chose me, that means a lot to me. That’s special, so I want to share that with you guys."
