Puttur, Aug 20: Keshav Bhat, Taluk Panchayat employee here was suspended for his failure in fulfilling the duties, by Zilla Panchayat chief executive officer Kunjappa, recently. At the same time, Kunjappa has ordered probe in this regard.
Keshav Bhat was transferred from Bantwal taluk anchayat, to Puttur taluk anchayat, recently.
He was alleged to have been negligent in submitting income tax report on time and lenient in updating the office records.
ZP CEO Kunjappa paid visit to the Taluk Panchayat office here on July 27. During his visit, he withdrew some special powers entrusted on Keshav Bhat. However, he neglected the orders issued by CEO. Hence, Kunjappa took this matter seriously and suspended Keshav Bhat.
