Udupi, Sep 29: A newspaper selling boy died when an express bus knocked him down from his bicycle at near Mayur Dhaba at Bada Yermal near here on Saturday September 29.
The deceased has been identified as Sharanappa (18), a native of Bijapur. He was carrying newspaper bundles in the bicycle when a speeding express bus rammed into his bicycle.
The bus was on its way to Mangalore from Udupi. The accident was so ghastly that the bicycle rider sustained critical injuries and died on the spot.
The Padubidri police have registered a case in this regard.
