Kundapur, Oct 5: Regional-level talents day celebration was held under the presidentship of Ishwara Devadiga, chairman, Kirimanjeshwar gram panchayat in Byndoor near here recently.

Inaugurating the function Sharadha M D Bijoor, ex-president, Udupi district panchayat said that Prathibha Karanji was the best and the right practical concept in bringing out the talents among the school children in their formative period.

She further said that the parents and the teachers can, by their active participation only encourage their wards to find what is best in them.

B Shekar, regional education officer welcomed the gathering.  Sanjiv Achar delivered introductory speech. Vishwanath compered the programme. Shanker Mogaveera, headmaster, Government High School, Kirimanjeshwar proposed the vote of thanks.

Prabhakar Mitthanth, coordinator, Regional Resource Center, A Richard Rebello, retired lecturer and Narasimha Devadiga Maski, industrialist were the chief guest for the valedictory function.

Competitors from seven clusters at regional level of Byndoor participated in the contest. The students of Kambadakone Sandeepan English Medium School won the maximum number of prizes.
