Mangalore, Oct 8: One person died when a scooter and Tata Ace collided near a petrol pump at Kinnigoli here on Monday October 8.
The deceased has been identified as Subhash (20), a resident of Jalligudde near Kinnigoli.
According to sources the rider Nazir (21) sustained minor injuries while the Subhash who was riding the pillion died on the spot. The injured was immediately rushed to the hospital and is now under treatment.
The accident occurred while Nazir was trying to overtake a bus. As he was maneuvering his bike, he accidentally collided with Tata Ace and pillion rider fell on the road. Rider Nazir however, escaped with few injuries while Subhash fell on the and died on the spot with multiple head injuries.
Mulki police have registered a case in this regard.
