Udupi, Oct 10: The cancellation of the transfer of the superintendent of police Dr Subramanyeshwar Rao has been demanded by the Karnataka Dalit Sangarsha Samithi (KDSS) here, on Monday October 9.

Addressing media persons KDSS State coordinator Uday Kumar Tallur informed that the reason behind the transfer order is due to some political pressure and plot. Taking up for Rao, he urged that the service rendered by Rao to the district should be taken into consideration. He further added that Rao was a man of commitment and good-will having special concern for the Dalits. Rao contributed a lot to make this district as a model district of development, he declared. 

On this occasion Karnataka Dalit Sangarsha Samiti (KDSS) coordinators of Karkala, Kundapur, Udupi and KDSS District coordinator Shekar Hejmadi were present on the occasion.
