Kundapur: Aureole worth Rs 12 Lac offered to Kollur Mookambika

Kundapur, Oct 27: A gold ‘Prabhavali’ (aureole) was offered to the Kollur Mookambika Temple, by noted music director G K Venkatesh’s industrialist son-in-law Manjunath and daughter Kalpana on Friday October 26 morning.

The ‘prabhavali’ was designed and prepared at the Sri Maruthi Lohashilpa Kala Kendra of Bangalore. It was designed by using 1.200 kg gold and 1.600 kg silver worth Rs 12 lac.

Honnappa Achar and his son Kiran were the goldsmiths who prepared the ‘Prabhavali’.

The children of the devotees Puneeth and Yashwin, priest Kalidas Bhat, managing trustee of the temple Krishnaparasad Adyanthaya, assistant commissioner of department of religious endowment L S Maruthi, executive officer of the Temple Chandrashekhar Davanageri, local industrialist and others were present on the occasion.
