Mangalore, Nov 14: A J Hospital and Research Centre which has provided the best of technology in medical care announced the inauguration of its fully equipped ICU ambulance recently informed a press release. A well-known entrepreneur G Shankar from Udupi donated this high-tech ICU ambulance, it added.

This ICU ambulance has been fitted with sophisticated life saving equipment handled by trained professionals. It also has ultra-modern equipments including air-conditioning facility, ventilator, monitor, defibrillator, pneumatic splints, oxygen and suction facility.

The press note further informs that in any medical exigency the first few minutes are crucial for revival under critical circumstances. Proper support by medical staff is necessary to reach the patient to the nearest medical centre. In such a scenario this ambulance offers both basic life support and advanced life support systems.

The said ICU ambulance will be at the disposal of public at the hospital premises. Transportation from Udupi in medical emergencies would be free of cost, informed the press release further.

    Kudos to A J Hospital mangalore for having high tech ambulance. As it is said in any emergency the first few minutes are very crucial and life saving moments. Now the question of maintainence of this high tech ambulance. Do we have enough bio-med engineers to trouble shoot this high tech equipments in ambulane or it will be dumped in garage after few months of initial use? I suggest every hospital should have an ambulance equiped with ventilators oxygen and suction equipments. Atleast our so called teaching hospitals
