Puttur: Jewellery Shop Looted by Thieves Posing as Customers

Puttur, Nov 14: The thieves who arrived in the guise of customers at G L Acharya Jewellers shop here, stole the gold jewellery worth Rs 1.60 lac, the late news reported on Wednesday, November 14.  The theft was detected when the proprietor was re-arranging the jewellery in its respective slots.  However, when he has gone through the diary, he realized that few men arrived in the guise of customers at his jewellery shop on Saturday, November 10, who bought few jewellery items and lifted the pouch-full of other jewellery, hoodwinking the proprietor. 

The thieves seem to have given fake address in the cash receipt.  The jewellery shop keeper, Balaram Acharya, has lodged the complaint with the town police here, in this regard.
