Mangalore, Nov 16: Parents play decisive role as they are not just parents but also teachers some times. Every one must realize that time is the most valuable asset in life, Rehamuthallah, educational coordinator of Deputy Director of Public Instructions (DDPI) office, Dakshina Kannada (DK) opined here on Thursday November 15. 

He was delivering the inaugural address at two-day inter-school and inter-collegiate-level seminar on 'enhancing parent - adolescent relationships' held at the Seminar Hall, Roshni Nilaya, School of Social Work here.

Today, younger generation is spending long hours in cyber-cafés or restaurants, utilizing their strength in improper manner, he added while laying emphasis on present educational system.

Adolescents are facing many crisis at present. Parents are the one who can guide their children in the right direction towards success in all respects. Parents should spend more time with their children. Parents should try to guide their children in a harmonious way, whenever they commit mistakes as they need corrections Dr Jacinta D`Souza, principal, Roshni Nilaya advised in her presidential address, emphasizing the necessity of cordial relationship between parents and children. 

Rameela Shekar, head of department of Medical and Psychiatric Social work, Roshni Nilaya, Naveen, secretary were present on the occasion. 

Sr Jacinta welcomed the gathering and the programme was compered by Reshma Lopez and Pheba.
