Mangalore Nov 17: T P Rajeevan, a city correspondent for Malayalam daily “Mathrubhumi’, was honoured for his contribution in the literary field. He was conferred with the Vagdevi Sahitya Puraskar for his literary work ‘Upanayanam’. 

Film actress Padmapriya handed over the award to him a function organized in Thiruvananthapuram, by the Aattingal municipal corporation and Brahma, a Thiruvananthapuram- based cultural organization. The award is sponsored by Bangalore film mates and the award committee is headed by former minister and former chief secretary of Karnataka J Alexander.
