Mangalore: DYFI blocks Bajal-Padil Road Demanding Repairs

Mangalore, Nov 20: Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI ) Kankanady, Pakkaladka and Bajal units staged rasta rokho opposing not taking proper actions to re-asphalt the Bajal - Padil road and infrequent bus service Monday November 19.

Padil and Bajal road are the arteries of the city which links many strategic places of the city and outskirts of the city. These roads do connect many educational institutions where the future of innumerable children is brightened.  But, the negligence of the concerned authorities and lack of cooperation by bus operators has put these places into darkness.  Hence, the extreme steps like road blockade was launched, agitators justified.
 
City bus route numbers 9, 11 and 23 that ply from state bank to Faisal Nagar via Padil, Bajal, and Jalligudde do not either arrive or depart on specified time while Regional Transport Officers (RTO) has not taken any action on the bus operators to adhere to timings, the agitators complained.
