The house belongs to a certain Victor which was acquired by civic body, for the purpose of extending the existing market. Though MCC authorities had already paid the compensation to the land owner, the tenants who were staying in that house had not vacated the premises.

However, they continued to stay there, disregarding the pleas of civic body.  Hence, the civic body personnel carried out the demolition of house after evicting them. Earth-mover was used for this purpose on Wednesday morning.
