Mumbai: BSKB association celebrates Children's Day

Mumbai, Dec 1: The youth wing of BSKB association, Gokula, Sion celebrated Children's day in Gokula as every year. Youth wing executive president Haridas Bhat together with working committee members lit the traditional lamp and set the programme in motion.

Competitions in healthy child, aiming the ball, recitation of verses, drawing, quiz, dances, fancy dress etc were held in a disciplined manner on the occasion.

Dr Arun Rao, Dr Vasantha Nair, NKES school teachers Sandhya Sagar, Tamaraselvy, Krishna Survade, Amitha K, Kalavathi Naidu and Shivayogi cooperated as judges. Executive vice president of the association, Vaman Holla presented mementos to the judges and honored them.

Vaman Holla commending the programme, wished the children well and requested the parents of the children to encourage them to participate in the winter camp that will be held in December this year.

Vice president Shailini Rao, secretary A P K Pothi, treasurer Haridas Bhat, youth wing convener Vinodini Rao were present on the dais.

Children of Balakala Vrinda who have been participating in several Bhajan Antakshari competitions and secured second prize were handed over prizes. Gokula Kalavrinda president Prashanth Herle compered the programme. Vinodini Rao proposed the vote of thanks.
