M'lore: LCS, Bejai Celebrates Lourdes Fest

Mangalore, Feb 20: Monday February 11 was indeed a remarkable day in the history of Lourdes Central School, as it was the feast of the Lady of Lourdes, the patroness of Lourdes Central School. The day commenced with holy Eucharistic celebration at 8.45 am.  Welcome dance and unique procession of offering the flowers added beauty to the mass.

Grace Noronha, principal of Lourdes Central School, in her introductory note called upon the Lourdes students, to imitate the virtues of Our Lady of Lourdes.

Fr J P Tauro, in his homily narrated a few miracles that have taken place in the past 150 years, at Lourdes shrine, in France.

Cultural programmes began at 10.00 am with prayer dance.  Shrisha Nayak extended a warm welcome to Fr J P Tauro, assistant parish priests and the gathering. Ananya Rao spoke on the significance of the day.  Tanvi Pinto was dressed in the costume of the Lady of Lourdes and Chelsea Miranda as St Bernadette.

Grace Noronha, the principal of school through her powerful speech motivated students to be prayerful, truthful, obedient and respectful.

Fr Navin enlightened the students with his words of wisdom while elaborating on how the students can really become like Bernadette through prayers.  The choir group presented melodious hymn on Our Lady of Lourdes.  A beautiful folk dance mesmerized the audiences.

Rajat compered the programme and thanked all those who contributed for the success of school Fest.
