Bangalore, Mar 2: The State budget will be presented in Parliament on March 7.
Speaking to reporters in Bangalore on Saturday, Chief Secretary Sudhakar Rao said that a detailed discussion on the Karnataka budget would be held from March 13.
The economic survey is likely to be tabled in Parliament on the eve of the budget presentation.
Replying to a query, the chief secretary said that it was on the Centre’s instruction that the State had issued the rice levy order to procure 33 per cent of the commodity produced in the State for the national food grains procurement pool.
On the drinking water requirement, he said sufficient measures were being taken to mitigate any crisis during summer.
Twenty-four hour helplines as decided at the deputy commissioners’ meeting were being set up, he said.
