Mangaluru: Under-trials fight it out inside district prison

Mangaluru, Jul 14: In an incident which happened inside the district prison here on the evening of Thursday Juy  13, two under-trials fought a pitched battle in which one of them was injured.

For some frivolous reason, fight had broken out between Mudipu Rafique and Napata Rafique. The enmity between the two aggravated by 6.30 pm on Thursday. Jail staff intervened and struck a truce.

Injured Napata Rafique was taken to hospital for treatment. Although the prison staff confirmed that such an incident had indeed happened, Barke police said they have not received any complaint about it.
