Udupi. May 8: As election battle heats up national leaders of the major political parties are visiting the state to boost the morale of the candidates. Mumbai BJP unit president Gopal Shetty on his visit to the district on Wednesday May 6 appealed to the public to vote for his party in order to have a stable government.
On the first day of his three-day visit he said that BJP is known for national integration and attributed his journey from Kaup to becoming the president of Mumbai BJP unit entirely to the party's credit.
Shetty who hails from Santoor in Kaup urged the voters to bring a progressive government like BJP to power. He cited the examples of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Yeddyurappa in support of his statements and said that they are role models for today's generation.
