Mangalore, May 15: Indian Association of Dermatologists the state and Tamil Nadu organized CUTICON 2008 at Dr T M A Pai International Convention Centre here recently.
Dr Ganesh S Pai, former national president of IADVL delivered the keynote address. He stressed the need to adopt modern trends in the practice of dermatology with emphasis on advanced cosmetic care with lasers.
He also stressed the need for a new generation of dermatologists to practice with ethics and take compassionate care of the underprivileged patients in the society. He told the delegates that a bright future lay in their hands, and that they have to change their attitude to change their lives.
The conference was inaugurated by director of FMCI Fr Patrick Rodrigues. Nearly 450 delegates were present at the conference.
The scientific content focused on newer management techniques of various diseases. Dr Ganesh S Pai also gave a lecture on 'Lasers in the Management of Cosmetic Skin Disorders.'
On the occasion Dr Ganesh S Pai felicitated senior dermatologist of the city Dr Sudarshan Hegde.
