Mangalore: RBI Dispatches Coins worth Rs 70 Lac to District

Mangalore, May 16: Currency coins worth Rs 70 lac have been dispatched to Dakshina Kannada district by Reserve Bank of India, stated a press release. 

According to the release coins worth Rs 50 lac have been sent to leading nationalized banks in the city. The Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) had taken up the issue with the regional director of Reserve Bank of India Devaki Muthikrishnan, stated president of KCCI Kumble Narasihma Prabhu.

He also stated that the symbolic release of the coins will be held at KCCI hall early next week in the presence of officials of banks which have received the coins.
