Mumbai girl Jemimah Rodrigues smashes unbeaten 200 in Women's U-19


Mumbai, Nov 5 (DHNS): Mumbai’s Jemimah Rodrigues scored an unbeaten 202 against Saurashtra in the women’s Under-19 One Day league on Sunday.

Jemimah is only the second Indian Woman cricketer to hit a double century in the U19 One-Day match.

The 17-year-old’s blistering double ton include 21 fours. Her double ton powered Mumbai to 347/2 in the 50 overs.

Rodrigues had scored another hundred (178) in her first match in the tournament against Gujarat.

Jemimah, who was really keen in cricket, started playing with the hard red ball at the age of four. Her initial practice was with her father and two older brothers.

She is not just a cricketer alone. She has already represented Maharashtra hockey Under-17 team in many matches.
